About us

Nadia Essence is the embodiment of a lifelong journey rooted in nature, wisdom, and sustainability. Its founder, Nadia Lawton, was born in the Dead Sea Valley in Jordan, where she learned traditional land-use practices and herbal healing from her father, an expert farmer and healer. From an early age, Nadia developed a profound respect for the Earth and its natural gifts — a respect that continues to inspire every aspect of her work.

After completing her Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) in 1999, Nadia dedicated herself to the Greening the Desert Project, proving that even the most barren lands can be revived through harmony with nature and careful permaculture design. She established women’s permaculture groups and school projects, spreading knowledge and opportunity to communities in need. As a registered permaculture teacher fluent in English and Arabic, Nadia has since shared her expertise worldwide as a teacher, consultant, and aid worker.

Nadia’s commitment to permaculture is also reflected in Zaytuna Farm, a vibrant 66-acre permaculture demonstration site in Northern NSW. Zaytuna Farm produces abundant food and yields from diverse landscapes while offering courses, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities, and professional consulting. It’s a living testament to Nadia’s philosophy: sustainability, education, and hands-on care for the land and people.

Now, Nadia brings this same passion, knowledge, and care to Nadia Essence, her line of natural cosmetics, proudly made in Jordan. Every product captures the essence of Nadia’s journey: ingredients inspired by the land, crafted with respect for both skin and environment, and designed to highlight natural beauty in its purest form.

Nadia Essence is more than cosmetics — it’s a celebration of nature, tradition, and the belief that true beauty is nurtured from the Earth.
